HISTORY
Known for their imposing stature, the Highlander clans of Gyr Abania seem naturally bred for conflict, and Graeme is no different. Conscripted as a young man into the Empire's XIVth Legion some few years after Ala Mhigo's fall, Graeme became the favored pawn of his cohort's Pilus Prior, Sera rem Thea. With the Black Wolf's permissive mentality regarding the promotion of non-Garlean soldiers, she orchestrated his ascension to the rank of Graeme pyr Severus, directing him to act as her bodyguard and fixer as she pursued her own ends within the XIVth Legion.
However, the pair's fortunes changed drastically with the destruction of the Agrius during the disastrous Battle of Silvertear Skies. As the Father of Dragons Midgardsormr awoke and bid his kin to attack the dreadnought, the entire armada became embroiled in intense aerial fighting that brought low both the great wyrm and the flagship as well. Aboard a small cruiser at the time, Graeme's unit was cut off from the main host and forced to land after sustaining severe damage - the crash landing stranding the few survivors on the outskirts of Mor Dhona.Convinced that the Empire was ill-matched to conquer the accursed land of Eorzea, Sera and Graeme deserted their posts and became drifters. Eventually, they came to be employed as security officers in Cid Garlond's Ironworks, where their former associations were of no concern to the other employees. Today, in the wake of the Final Days, they staff an outpost in Ishgard and perform inspections, arrests, and catalogue the activity of pirates and smugglers alike.
